The Founders of Hartford
Robert Bartlett Cambridge, 1632, if, as probable, he came in the Lion, Sept. 16 of that year.
He was an original proprietor of Hartford, receiving eight acres in the division of 1639-40. He lived on the west side
of a highway, west of what is now Lafayette St.; freeman, April 10, 1645; chimney-viewer, 1650; removed to
Northampton about 1655 ; killed by the Indians March 14, 1675-6.
