Samuel Gardiner (Gardner) was one of several persons to whom lots were granted in 1640, “if the Townsmen see Doe just cause to the contrary, and they will accept of them vppon such tearmes as the Townsmen shall see cause to propose.” He is said to have been at Wethersfield ; removed, 1663, to Hadley. His wife's name was Elizabeth. He d. June 21, 1676
